Who We Are?
The Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) is a private Higher Education Institution authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP), Cameroon. It is a fast developing Higher Institution of learning specialized in business studies.
It trains candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management, Insurance and Marketing. The HND is a professional certificate organized and managed by the MINESUP. After the HND program, successful graduates can progress to a third year to top-up their HND into a professional bachelor degree, run by HIMS and supervised by the University of Bamenda (also award degree).
We do not just work towards getting candidates succeed in their HND and Bachelor degree programs; we help them achieve personal academic growth and professional development. We make sure that those who pass through HIMS meet the challenges of modern business and develop into full members of a professional body. To achieve this goal, we work with some selected professional bodies and encourage them to obtain the benchmark qualification from these institutions while pursuing their HND and bachelor degree program. These supplementary qualifications permit our students to stand out taller in any crowd of job seekers each time employers are in search of suitable candidates.
